In view of the rising costs of the construction of the North/South metro line, the municipality should consider to have businesses sponsor metro stops. An example might be to have a Dam-Bijenkorf stop, named after the department store.
This has been proposed by the CDA. In December last year, a similar suggestion of the party was rejected. At the time, CDA council member Lex van Drooge responded to questions from the SP that there could also be an SP metro stop as far as he was concerned, provided the party would offer enough money.
